The Alliance to Protect Delaware’s Future is a coalition of Delaware organizations that serve a diverse cross section of industries and sectors. The Alliance advocates for sensible policies that put hardworking Delawareans first in order to strengthen our economy and enhance our quality of life. Delaware’s world-renowned reputation for fairness and efficiency in business has made the First State a destination for entrepreneurs and founders. Historically, Delaware leaders have recognized the importance of our acclaimed business environment with respect to the prosperity of our state. Yet recently, it has become evident that we can’t just rest on our laurels – we need to protect and evolve our economic ecosystem to ensure that Delaware remains a great place to live and work.

A key element of this ecosystem is our corporate franchise. Corporate decisions on where to domicile or invest may seem abstract to most, but their economic consequences are tangible to all Delawareans. A healthy and competitive business environment generates billions in sustained state revenue that helps fund our schools, public safety initiatives, and other vital state services. In fact, business-related revenues account for more than one-third of Delaware’s annual operating budget. Our prosperity depends on policies that stimulate growth and foster stability, and the Alliance will continue to advocate for these initiatives to economically empower our state.
